This is in relation to question no 22 of Question paper of Social Science Series HRl Code No 32/3 for Class X of CBSE board. There is a unclear picture given and the students were asked to identify the crop. Most would confuse it between Rice and Wheat, b'coz of a very unclear picture. In case the student identifies the crop wrongly as Wheat, then the subsequent subparts which are directly linked to this subpart would become wrong because they ask for the climatic conditions required and the areas that grow them.
It is unfair to give the students so similar looking yet unclear pictures (Rice and wheat pictures are simliar) and link up 5 marks with it.
I would request that in case any more students (a large number actually) are affected, let's raise hue and cry to the CBSE via emails and other means so that the CBSE is forced to look into tha matter and give the benefit of doubt to the child who have identified the picture as wheat or rice .
